Open enrollment periods do vary by state and insurance type. Georgia uses the health insurance exchange of the Affordable Care Act and residents enroll on HealthCare.gov. Georgia insurance companies participating in the federal exchange include Alliant, Ambetter from The Peach State Health Plan (Centene), Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Care Plan of Georgia, Kaiser, Oscar, and CareSource.
